Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) Parenting Group

Overview

Now in its 14th year, the SPD Parenting Group meets monthly to provide education, share resources, and offer support to parents who have children with Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) and/or are considered Highly Sensitive.

Many parents come to our meetings feeling unsure, isolated, and overwhelmed. My colleague, Jenny Burnsed, MS, LPC, and I founded this group as a means for parents to support one another and not feel so alone. This gathering of wise and caring parents meets monthly, and we focus on teaching parenting strategies that work. We spend half of our meeting discussing a specific topic and the other half sharing ideas, building community, and offering resources.  This parenting group is always open to new participants, so feel free to drop in whenever the topic appeals to you.
